Business Philosophy

BUSINESS PHILOSOPHY

Integrity, honesty and compassion are important building blocks in my business philosophy. The Golden Rule is always a strong guidepost. Everyone needs to be treated with respect and an open mind. I listen to my sellers and buyers and I try to re-state what they say so we can have the same understanding of their goals and desires.

Education and Training

EDUCATION AND TRAINING

I received by Bachelor’s Degree in Education and was in the process of earning my MBA when life intervened. Although I only had two classes and a thesis to do, I did not go back to it. Since 1991, I had my real estate sales person license for 20 years and then studied for and received my broker’s license in 2011. Additionally I have my CDPE destination for Certified Distressed Properties Expert. I also have the SFR, Short Sale and Foreclosure Resource, Certification. I routinely take classes to keep my certifications and to update myself on subjects which will assist me better serve my clients.

Awards And Designations

AWARDS AND DESIGNATIONS

In the International real estate company that I was with for 19 years, I received a high award for production for eleven years. Then I joined Coldwell Banker and in 2010 was a member of the Presidents Circle for production. Routinely, I have been recognized as one on the Outstanding Performers for each month. My designations include CDPE, Certified Distress Properties Expert, and SFR, Short Sale and Relocation Resource. I have my Broker’s license in the State of California.

AREAS OF EXPERTISE

As a strong listing agent, my market times are typically shorter than some other Realtors. Pricing the home appropriately for the market as well as staging the home for the maximum “pop” are keys to the shorter market times. And I work well on short sale homes with constant communication. I also enjoy working with buyers, whether they are first time buyers, relocation buyers or move up (or down) buyers. Senior buyers and sellers have different needs and requirements than first time buyers or relocation buyers. Variety is the spice of life and I love them all. Our military relocation buyers have a special place in my heart. For all of the sacrifices that they and their family do for us, the least that I can do is assist them in the wonderful experience of purchasing their home and finding just the right one for them.

Personal Background

PERSONAL BACKGROUND

Growing up as an Illinois farm girl, I realized that many jobs are not 9 to 5 jobs with work only on Monday through Friday. Availability and accessibility is important to buyers and sellers. After graduating from college, I taught Junior High for a number of years in Wisconsin. When I moved to San Diego, I was in the hospitality industry working in Hotel Sales and Catering and Convention Services positions. Then in 1991, I ventured into real estate and have grown my business since then with hard work, dedication and active listening.
